‘Field Notes of Forres’ is a collection of research outcomes about the west end of Forres, a small town on the border of the Scottish Islands.
Working with different engagement tools, stories of Forres then and now were collected, discussed and curated in the format of a town brochure. Going beyond interviews and words, Flied Notes of Forres explores how a place is experienced through more than just visual impressions.
This project is a collaboration of Jonas Gentle, Jan Nowell, Lina Wilckens and Xu Ziecheng. My main contributions were the development of sensory engagement tools, leading the engagements as well as art direction, layout, making of the covers and photography of the brochure.
